Randal Churchill is President of the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, the original and primary Hypnotherapy Certification organization in the United States with over 9500 members. He is known as "Teacher of the Teachers,"TM having trained many of the state-approved hypnotherapy instructors in the United States. He is founder, director and instructor of the Hypnotherapy Training Institute in Corte Madera, near San Francisco, California. One of the oldest and largest state licensed hypnotherapy schools in the United States, HTI has drawn thousands of students from around the world. The school is licensed by the Council for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education of the California Board of Education, and approved by the Board of Registered Nursing and other state boards for Continuing Education Units. HTI is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners, the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and many other agencies.

A clinical hypnotherapist since 1969, Randal Churchill has logged over 30,000 hours of hypnotherapy sessions. He graduated from Sonoma State University, receiving his degree in psychology with honors. He is on the Advisory Board of the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, on the Board of Directors of the Hypnotist Examining Council of California, and on the Professional Affairs and Ethics Committee of the Association for Humanistic Psychology. Randal holds a Teacher's Credential and is a former instructor of Santa Rosa Junior College.

Randal Churchill has received international acclaim for his skill, creativity, sensitivity and comprehensive approach to a wide range of challenging issues. An intuitive and supportive therapist, he is a specialist in dreamwork, regression, advanced ideomotor methods and the assimilation of Gestalt and other modalities with hypnotherapy. He has taught hypnotherapy to psychiatrists at Napa State Hospital and has taught at various other institutions. He has also been a featured speaker and workshop leader at many International Hypnotherapy Conferences.

Randal Churchill is the author of numerous published books and articles on hypnotherapy, including the training text, Regression Hypnotherapy, published in May 2002 to rave reviews. He has been the subject of various television news documentaries and has been interviewed on many radio talk shows.
